Protek 2000 – Welded Medium Mesh Security Fence Panels

A ‘medium-duty’ anti-climb welded mesh fencing system that provides a strong and secure perimeter boundary while still being aesthetically pleasing. The single wire structure of Protek 2000 helps it blend into the surroundings while also allowing for high through-visibility.

Protek 2000 features welded V mesh single wire fencing panels with horizontal triangular folds that help to form a strong, rigid fence line, particularly suitable for use as a general-purpose boundary fence. Adjoining panels are held together with a full vertical length clamp bar pinned into posts using pre-drilled holes. This makes the fixings vandal resistant and provides a higher level of security than traditional clip mesh fencing systems. The Protek security fence panels are also designed to be anti-climb, while still being child friendly. Protek secure systems are particularly suitable around schools, public buildings, retail parks and business premises.

Available In A Wide Range Of Heights

Protek 2000 weld mesh fence panels are available in heights from 1.8m, up to 2.4m high. On the 2.4m high panels, the number of ‘V’ folds on the fence panel is increased, making it more difficult for intruders to climb, while also increasing the strength and rigidity of the fence line. The narrower 2.5m wide panels are also more suited to stepping on uneven ground.

One Of The UK’s Leading Boundary Mesh Fencing Suppliers

Alexandra Security is a leading supplier of metal fencing in the UK, and our high-quality wire mesh is made to last. Each fence is supplied in a galvanised finish for long term weather protection, and if required a polyester powder coat finish to a colour of your choice can be applied to give extra protection and an improved aesthetic appeal. Many customers opt for green mesh fencing panels to allow the fence to blend in with rural surroundings, with black being a popular alternative for more urban sites.

    Posts, Clamps & Fixings

The posts and full length clamp bars that Alexandra Security Limited offers provide a fixing system which secures the panels but allows for variations. The system is easy to install and allows the panels to be stepped, helping the fence line to follow the contours of the ground. With the vandal resistant security fixings this post and clamp system provides a higher level of security than the traditional clip system.

Protek 2000 - Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the differences between the Protek 1000 and Protek 2000 mesh fencing systems?

The main difference between the two systems is that on the Protek 2000 system, adjoing mesh panels are held together with a full length metal clamp bar, where as on the Protek 1000 system, panels are held together with metal clips that are then pinned to the post. The stronger metal clamp bar on the Protek 2000 system provides a higher level of security and is more resistant to vandals.

The other main difference is that on the Protek 2000 system the individual panels are 2.5m wide compared to 3m wide on the Protek 1000 system. The narrower size makes it easier to step the line of the fence when creating a perimeter fence that is mounted on uneven ground.

  • Can I fit timber infills within the profile of the mesh at a later date?

The apertures on the Protek 2000 system are slightly wider than the Protek 1000 system, allowing for timber infill panels to be fitted within the profile of the mesh panel, creating a privacy fence.
