Metal Palisade Security Fencing – The ProFence System

Considered to be one of the most traditional types of perimeter security fencing, providing a high level of security. Steel palisade fencing also acts as a significant visual deterrent, as well as being highly resistant to attacks.

The robust construction and intimidating appearance of the pales, combined with the triple pointed tops, make a palisade fence very hard to climb over. Palisade security fencing is an ideal boundary fencing system for premises that need to be always kept secure, such as infrastructure, cash handling facilities and industrial facilities.

    Versatile High Security Fencing

Steel palisade security fencing is one of the most versatile security fencing types, being self-adjusting for inclines up to 30 degrees. This allows a boundary fence to be constructed both where level ground is present, as well as when undulating and contoured ground is unsuitable for other fencing systems. Palisade is much stronger than chain link fencing and depending on the application, can be more cost-effective than mesh panel fencing. We offer heights from 1.8m high, up to 3.0m.

ProFence – The Evolution of Metal Palisade Fencing

At Alexandra, the type of galvanised palisade fencing we manufacture and supply is called ProFence. This system has several improvements over standard palisade fencing that other suppliers may offer. Through extensive product development, ProFence has been designed to be stronger and more cost-effective than standard palisade, due to the design of its three main components. All the main components of ProFence are either hot dip galvanised to BS EN ISO 1461 or galvanised and polyester powder coated to BS EN 13438. We can supply ProFence powder coated to any RAL colour on a short lead time. Contact our team today for an up-to-date lead time.

    ProPale

    ProPale

ProPale is the evolution of traditional palisade fencing pales, created through extensive testing and product research. The lightweight pales of ProFence are stronger than some standard ‘W’ or ‘D’ palisade fence pales, as well as incorporating the unique patented bolt head protection. This reduces the opportunity for potential intruders to breach the fence by using hand tools to remove the bolt heads.

The edges of each ProFence pale are all finished with a neat return edge that provides further strength and safety along the whole edge of the pale. This makes it especially suitable for use around schools, playgrounds and public areas. Each ProPale is manufactured to meet PS1722 Part 12:1999, ensuring that the fencing conforms to the highest quality standard available.

    ProPale Features

    • Safe return edge
    • M8 x 25 bolt with tamper-proof shear nut
    • Triple-pointed head as standard
    • Round-notched heads also available

    ProRail

    ProRail

ProRail has been developed using cold rolled technology and extensive testing, resulting in a lightweight rail that is stronger than existing 45x45mm or 50x50mm rails, as suggested in BS 1722 Pt12:1999. The profile of ProFence rails offers many advantages. Sag is reduced when compared to standard palisade fencing rails, as well as eliminating the need for support feet.

    ProRail Features

    • Anti-grab tags (top rail only)
    • Sloped Aris rails to minimise foothold
    • Rail return protects underneath of bolt

    ProPost

    ProPost

As with the other key components in ProFence, ProPost has been designed with several advantages compared to the type of posts currently used in the palisade fence market. The lightweight construction ensures ease of handling and reduced transport and labour costs.

    ProPost Features

    • Slotted to fit standard link plates
    • Pierced at bottom of post to key into concrete
    • Dig-in posts as standard
    • Base-plated posts available as an option

    ProFence Palisade Is Suitable For:

    • Industrial and commercial premises
    • Electricity sub stations
    • Gas installations
    • LPG installations
    • Research laboratories
    • Fuel terminals
    • Data centres
    • Sewage and water treatment plants
    • Railways and motorways
    • Police stations and courts

    Posts & Fixings

The posts and fixings that Alexandra Security Limited offers provide a fixing system which secures the pales but allows for variations. The system is easy to install and allows the rails and pales to be raked, helping the fence line to follow the contours of the ground.
