Twin-Wire Mesh Security Gates

Designed to complement the Protek 656 and 868 mesh fencing ranges for a consistent look to your entrance solution.

Manufactured to a high-standard from galvanised steel and welded mesh, twin-wire entrance gates feature double 6mm or 8mm diameter horizontal wires, between a 5mm or 6mm vertical wire to create a mesh that is highly rigid and extremely difficult to cut through. The small aperture size on the mesh panels make climbing over the gate almost impossible. Protek standard gates make an ideal entrance solution where strong protection is needed against vehicles, while still being able to see through the mesh of the gate to the other side.

Security Features As Standard

All Protek twin-wire gates come with a padlockable slide-latch (padlock not provided). Gate hinges are inverted, preventing lift-off once the gate is installed. Double-leaf gates are supplied with drop-bolts and ground sockets, allowing the gate to be held open, as well as stopping the gate flexing in strong winds. Drop bolts are also available on single leaf pedestrian gates as an optional extra. A wide range of security padlocks can also be ordered at the same time as your new security gate.

Safety As Standard

All of our metal twin-wire gates also come with gate restrainers, a simple but essential safety device to prevent the gate failing should the top or bottom hinge fail. These retrainers comply with BS EN 12604 and are tested on gates up to 500kg.

This allows you to place your order knowing that you will have your new gate within a few days. We can delivery all over the UK, or alternatively, collection can be arranged from our Kent depot.

Protek 868 Elite – SR-1 Rated Security Gates

To match our 868 Elite fencing, or available as a high-security stand-alone gate, our SR-1 rated Protek Elite gate provides an increased level of protection. SR1 security gates can withstand opportunistic attempts at forced entry using basic tools such as cable cutters, screwdrivers, knives and hammers, for a period of up to 1 minute. This, combined with Protek 868’s twin-wire design, creates a security gate that is very hard to climb, cut through or force entry.

Protek 868 Elite gates are ideal for high security facilities such as government or military installations, financial depots or critical infrastructure.
