What finishes does Alexandra offer?

We offer hot dip galvanisation and powder coating.

Hot dip galvanising: offers longer life for your product, following a number of pre-treatment processes to remove grease and impurities, steel surfaces are dipped into fluid zinc alloys, which cover and penetrate all parts of the post and frame. When removed, excess zinc runs off, and the metalwork is allowed to cool, leaving an attractive and durable finish.

Powder Coating: offers an effective and colourful solution. Available in over 60 standard colours and over 1,000 non-standard colours in both the RAL and British Standard ranges, customers are now able to apply a special layer of personalisation to their projects. Like the Hot Dip Galvanising, all surfaces undergo rigorous cleaning and decontamination processes to ensure a top-quality and long-lasting finish.

About Metal Security Fencing

Why use galvanised metal?

Galvanising metal prevents rust from disintegrating the metal. This is an important fabrication component to ensure that your fence is sturdy and long-lasting.

What is the average lifespan of a steel fence?

The average lifespan of a steel fence is 25 to 30 years. With galvanisation and powder coating options, paired with regular maintenance, these fences are extremely durable.

What colours do you stock?

Our powder coating finish is available in over 60 standard colours and over 1,000 non-standard colours in both the RAL and British Standard ranges. So, whether you want your schoolyard fencing to fit your school colours, or want a professional finish on your business perimeter fencing, we will have the colour you are looking for. Most of our perimeter fencing solutions are stocked in RAl 6005 Moss Green - the standard green colour for the industry. Certain other types are also stocked in RAL 9005 Black. Non-stock fencing or gate colours can be coated on a short lead time.

About The Protek Mesh Fencing Range

What is SiteGard P500?

The SiteGard P500 mesh fence system is ideal as a general purpose perimeter demarcation fence, or for use on construction sites as an alternative to timber hoarding. SiteGard P500 is an excellent option for low-security applications, including solar farms and large-scale boundary fencing. Additionally, it can be seamlessly integrated with any of the hoarding gates available in the SiteGard collection, resulting in a comprehensive perimeter access and security solution that matches the height requirements. SiteGard P500 is supplied in heights of 2.0m of 2.4m and is available in powder-coated green or black finishes.

What is Protek 1000?

The Protek 1000 mesh fence system provides a perimeter security fence that is aesthetically pleasing with high through-visibility, helping it to blend into its surroundings. Protek 1000 features welded single-wire mesh panels with horizontal triangular folds that help to form a strong, rigid fence line. Adjoining panels are held together with metal clips that are then pinned into posts using pre-drilled holes. It is particularly suitable for use as a general purpose boundary fence for schools, public areas and retail parks. Protek 1000 is supplied powder coated over a galvanised finish for long-lasting weather protection. Our stock colours are green or black, but other RAL colours can be supplied on a short lead time.

What is Protek 2000?

The Protek 2000 mesh fence system provides a strong single-wire security fence that is both aesthetically pleasing to the eye with high through-visibility, helping it to blend into its surroundings. Protek 2000 features welded single-wire mesh panels with horizontal triangular folds that help to form a strong, rigid fence line. Adjoining panels are held together with a full vertical length clamp bar pinned into posts using pre-drilled holes. This makes the fixings vandal resistant and provides a higher level of security than traditional clip mesh fencing systems. Protek 2000 is supplied powder coated over a galvanised finish for long-lasting weather protection. Our stock colour is green, but other RAL colours can be supplied on a short lead time.

What is Protek Privacy?

The Protek Privacy system offers the security of the standard Protek 2000 system with the additional benefit of increased privacy, thanks to the attractive timber infill panels. There’s no need to compromise on the appearance of your security fence when increased privacy is needed, thanks to the made to measure wood panel inserts. The timber is supported within the ‘V’ profile of the mesh and secured to the rear of the fence with a strong fixing baton. This creates a fencing surface that has no hand or foot ledges, making it even more difficult to climb over, as well as offering a privacy barrier from one side to the other. Ideal for head offices, schools and premises that need to be concealed, Protek Privacy blends perfectly with existing Protek mesh fencing.

What is Protek 358?

The Protek 358 Clamp system is designed to be almost impossible to climb, due to the narrow apertures of the mesh preventing any potential intruder from gaining a foothold. Protek 358 still maintains a good level of visibility through the fence, while the strong wires used in the mesh panels are incredibly hard to penetrate or cut using standard cutting tools. Each Protek 358 fencing panel is overlapped with a full-height clamp bar with multiple anti-tamper fixings, forming a fence line that provides a very high level of security. Protek 358 fencing is used extensively by the Ministry of Defence around high security facilities. It is also ideal for use on industrial sites, data centres and prisons, or any area where an imposing high security fence is needed.

What is Protek 656?

The Protek 656 Clip system features twin-wire mesh panels that provides a versatile fencing system that is stronger than single-wire systems. Protek 656 mesh fencing panels use 6mm diameter horizontal wires (rather than single wire) either side of the vertical wire. This deeper mesh construction provides the fence line with increased strength and rigidity, as well as making it harder for intruders to cut through or climb over. As a clip system, adjoining Protek panels are held together with metal clips that are then clamped into posts using pre-drilled holes with inserts. Protek 656 Clip is supplied powder coated over a galvanised finish for long-lasting weather protection. Our stock colour is green, but other RAL colours can be supplied on a short lead time. Protek 656 is also available as a clamp system (Protek 656 Clamp).

What is Protek 868?

The Protek 868 Clip system features twin-wire mesh panels that provides a versatile fencing system that is stronger than single-wire systems. By using twin 8mm diameter horizontal wires between the vertical wire, Protek 868 is much harder to cut through, making it an ideal perimeter fencing solution where higher security is needed. In this clip system, adjoining panels are held together with metal clips that are then clamped into posts using pre-drilled holes with inserts. Protek 868 Clip is supplied powder coated over a galvanised finish for long-lasting weather protection. Our stock colour is green, but other RAL colours can be supplied on a short lead time. Protek 868 is also available as a clamp system (Protek 868 Clamp).
