Protek 1000 – Welded Light Mesh Security Fence Panels

A popular, light duty anti-climb welded mesh fencing system that provides an aesthetically pleasing, strong and secure perimeter.

Protek 1000 features welded V mesh single wire fence panels with horizontal triangular folds that help to form a strong, rigid fence line, particularly suitable for use as a general-purpose boundary fence. Adjoining security fence panels are held together with metal clips that are then pinned into posts using pre-drilled holes. The apertures between the metal wires allow for high through-visibility, while helping it blend into the surroundings. The weld mesh fence panels are designed to be anti-climb, while still being child friendly. This type of fencing system is particularly suitable for school boundaries, public areas, retail parks & general perimeter protection.

Available In A Wide Range Of Heights

Protek 1000 weld mesh fence panels are available in heights from 1.2m, up to 3m high. As the height gets taller, the number of V panels on the fence panel increases, offering not only increased strength and rigidity, but also making it harder for intruders to climb over to gain access to your site.

One Of The UK’s Leading Metal Boundary Fencing Suppliers

Alexandra Security is a leading supplier of metal fencing in the UK, and our high quality boundary mesh fencing is made to last. Each fence is supplied in a galvanised finish for long term weather protection. If required, a polyester powder coat finish to a colour of your choice can be applied to give extra protection and an improved aesthetic appeal. Many customers opt for green security fencing panels to allow the fence to blend in with rural surroundings, with black being a popular alternative for more urban sites.

Our team of experts are on hand to provide advice and suggest the best perimeter fencing product for your requirements. If you have custom-options such as base-plated or cranked posts, then we can provide bespoke CAD drawings to illustrate how your fencing system would look, before you sign-off on the project.

    Fixings

    Posts, Clips & Fixings

The posts and metal clips that Alexandra Security Limited offers provide a fixing system which secures the mesh fencing panels but allows for variations. The system is easy to install and allows the panels to be stepped, helping the fence line to follow the contours of the ground. With the vandal resistant security fixings this post and clip system provides a reasonable level of security to any boundary. Hooked caps are supplied to hold panels in place while installing.

    Options

    • Panels can be inverted to create flat top option
Panels can be specified as 2.51m post centres as a special order

    Spigotted Base Plates

    Spigotted Base Plates
Where ground conditions will not allow for digging standard posts, and there isn’t time to wait for manufactured bolt-down posts, spigotted base plates are a quick and easy way of converting exisiting posts to bolt-down.

Simply cut down the dig-in post to the desired length and insert the spigot. The spigot is then held in place using a self-drilling tek screw.

Protek 1000 - Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the differences between the Protek 1000 and Protek 2000 mesh fencing systems?

The main difference between the two systems is that on the Protek 2000 system, adjoing mesh panels are held together with a full length metal clamp bar, where as on the Protek 1000 system, panels are held together with metal clips that are then pinned to the post. The stronger metal clamp bar on the Protek 2000 system provides a higher level of security and is more resistant to vandals.

The other main difference is that on the Protek 2000 system the individual panels are 2.5m wide compared to 3m wide on the Protek 1000 system. The narrower size makes it easier to step the line of the fence when creating a perimeter fence that is mounted on uneven ground.

  • What are the differences between Protek 1000 and SiteGard P500 systems?

Protek 1000 conforms to the British Standard for general purpose mesh fences by using 5mm horizontal and vertical wires. SiteGard P500 differs by using 4mm wires in its construction. Consequently, the Protek 1000 system offer slightly higher rigidity than SiteGard P500, while SiteGard P500 proves to be a more cost-effective option.
