    Metal safety barriers for crash protection

    Often known as either Crash Barrier, Armco Barrier or Car Park Barriers, these corrugated steel barriers protect infrastructure from the dangers of impact by vehicles. Armco is widely used in installations such as industrial/retail estates, car parks and warehouse facilities.

    Protect people, fencing and buildings from damage caused by moving vehicles and forklift trucks. In areas where there is a significant risk of harm identified, letting a moving vehicle collide with the Armco barrier is the preferred outcome, rather than letting it continue onwards.

    The corrugated profile of the steel barrier allows it to flex on impact while still maintaining strength. In addition, the barriers are designed to ensure that fast moving vehicles are deflected along the route of the barrier, while slow moving cars or forklifts will be stopped rapidly.

    Multiple Barrier Terminals and Post Options

    In situations where pedestrians need to be kept segregated from moving vehicles, the Pedestrian End Terminal Armco Section is designed to create an end-point free from sharp edges that may cause injury to passing pedestrians. For applications where pedestrians will not be in close proximity to the Armco barrier, a standard wing end (also known as fish tail end) terminal is ideal to safety terminate the barrier run. Barrier posts are also available in concrete-in and base plated variants. This allows you to securely install car parking barrier around your site no matter if you have soft substrate or a concrete base.

    Straight Armco Beam

    Untensioned safety barrier is not suitable for use in highway applications. The corrugated beams are 3.5m overall length with an effective length of 3.2m. Beams are joined using 8 No. M16 x 35mm Lap Bolt sets and posts bolt to the beam using 1 No. M16 x 50 Post Bolt set.

    Adjustable Corner – CBCSS

    The Adjustable Corner/Bullnose Joint can vary a change in direction from 0 – 180°. It is also used to terminate a double sided safety barrier run – giving rise to the name Bullnose.

    Installation is with two posts which also serve to support the end of each barrier run, and 16 M16 x 35 lap bolt sets.

    Sprung Barrier Bracket CBPSBB

    Sprung Armco Barrier Bracket – CBPSBB

    The Sprung Barrier Bracket offers a heavy duty and flexible system which allows the barrier to deflect and spring back into place after impact. It is widely used in industrial and logistics warehousing and is particularly useful in areas where forklifts are operating. The post is surface mounted and is compatible with both the Corrugated and Open Box Beam barrier systems.

    Steel posts in ‘Z’ section have been the traditional and time served choice for a number of years and are suitable for commercial areas, car parks and industrial parks, etc.

    CHEMICAL RESIN SYSTEM

    M16x190mm Chem Stud (FST1619), used to bolt the Base Plated Posts and the Sprung Barrier Brackets onto concrete. We supply the complete system including the chemical resin (FCHPUF), puffer pump to remove dust from holes (FCHT380) and dispensing gun to take chemical resin tube (FCHGUN).
